I live in Sanger, near Fresno. Ride a KFX700 and a Scrambler 500 4X4. Winter riding in the desert - Jawbone, Dove Springs, Red Rock, Football field, Spangler Hills, Dumont. Like to do some snow riding in the sierras. Spring riding in the Sierras - Miami Creek, Shuteye, Bald Mountain, Jose Basin. Like to hit Hollister ocasionally. Summer means a trip to the Oregon dunes, this year to include St. Anthonys too. Pismo anytime.

Happy-
Spangler Hills are the rugged rocky volcanic outcroppings between Ridgecrest and Randsburg (approximately) on both sides of 395. The Football Field is a popular dry-camping site about a mile east of 395 & 10-15 miles south of Ridgecrest. Great fun in the winter, too hot in the summer.

Found a nice place this weekend. Groveland District, Stanislaus N.F. It's mainly forest rds but it's pretty cool. Didn't see a Ranger all weekend. Saw a FS maintenance guy one time....scary seeing those green trucks coming at you when you're leaving a dust trail at 50+ LOL
Area is about 2800' and goes up from there. Dusty as all heck though this weekend. Didn't see any other wheelers except 2 guys bringing in some to go hunting. My group was about 30 people, half with quads, one bike and 2 go-karts. Kick in the pants time.

BlackandRed, I did make it out that way Saturday, we rode up by Crocker Ridge. First time we rode up there. It was dusty but great riding too. We only saw 2 trucks that were carrying firewood. No rangers either. Too bad both Polaris's end upside down. Fortunately, everyone was alright. Wife loved it, we'll have to get together for a ride. I'll post pictures asap. Lt.Dan
