Mill Creek Ride...Ozark Mountains, AR
Just wanting to let everyone know...our club (NW Arkansas ATV Riding Club) will be at Mill Creek on May 15 for a ride. I'm not exactly sure how many of us will be there.
Mill Creek is located in the Ozark National Forest. From Fayetteville, AR, take Highway 16 east to Combs. Turn South on Forest Service Road 1007 for 4 miles, turn left on FS Road 1509 1/2 mile to the trailhead. From Ozark, AR, take Highway 23 north to Cass, AR. Take FS Road 1520 west 8 miles to FS Road 1509, then 4 miles to the trailhead.
27 miles of main trail, 15 miles of interior loops and shortcuts, time 5-10 hours. Trails vary from easy to most difficult.
Trail goes through remote areas of Ozark National Forest and features mountainous terrian, scenic views, hardwood forests, mountain streams. Vault toliets available. Campsites available at nearby White Rock Mountain Recreation Area. Cabins, a lodge, picnic areas located at White Rock. Near Mulberry Wild River is a campground, store, and has canoe rental.
Hope you will be able to join us if possible. Contact me directly if needed...racechick73@yahoo.com. or visit our Yahoo! group page...just go to Yahoo groups and type in NWAATVRC.
