I have riden my bike on trails in Arizona many times, and each da*m time I do it I get 2 flat tires. My question is, how the he*l do I keep catus (did I spell that right, nope.) spines and thornes out of my tires! I really want to try out Arizonas terrain, I heard its sweet. I will be riding in the Tucson area, anyone know any good places near there??
Thanks!!!!

It's real simple. Stay on the trail and off the cactus! A good six ply tire will also help. Tread Lightly!

Rancher4x4ESLuvr,
To expand slightly on Slyder's advice, out here the terrain and plant life is very fragile. We like to see the cacti growing in the ground , not in the tires of thoughtless Ohv operators, who epitomize all that the Greeners accuse us all of doing.
By the way, if you know you have made a spelling
faux pas, the edit button is there for your use.

Did I say that I was just going to pull over and ride all over all the cactus? Why do you have to have an attitude with me, I was just asking a simple question. If your going to catch an attitude with an innocent post then mabye you shouldnt post at all.

hey rancher dont sweat it over these guys people in here will slam you just for saying hi,anyway I live here in phoenix and no I'm not some speedy racer flying through the desert tearing it all up however me and my wife have 4x4 quads and we do alot of desert exploring and if you do enough of it in one day your bound to get cactus in your tire and yes that is from staying on the trail, horses, trucks, and racers both dirtbike and 4wheelers break this stuff off and throw it everywhere so yes you can and do get cactus from staying on the trail so be sincable people and dont bash a guy for asking a simple question without even knowing the details.anyway back to you a good 6ply is the best way to go however when looking for the cheaper alternative fill each tire with at least 16 ounces of slime tire protectant this saves me alot take it easy and ignore the perfect ones!
