Pismo was not crowded on Memorial Day. It was very, very windy though! Riding time was minimized due to extreme winds.

There were some injuries - one serious. Haven't heard about fatalities for the weekend.

Rangers were in full force and writing tickets frequently. No complaints about that... I want to see them enforcing the rules - too many out of control & unsupervised riders out there - with quads, mc's and buggies!

Great weekend despite the wind...

Wind makes the sand nice for the weekday riders.

Head for the back. Nice smooth sand. And you're riding, who cares about a little blowing sand. Just be careful. I hate sitting around in the sand blaster.

[iYeah I've heard about the aspestas. You would think the government would be shutting that place down. I'll have to modify my helmet to fit my respirator so I can go try it out! lol
Told by a good friend that the asbestos there is not harmful in that form...

Just an update for Foresthill. It is now open as of Memorial day weekend, all trails but looks like extensive work has been done, mostly good but a few surprises. Parking was almost impossible this past weekend because of a dirtbike ralley but once we got back on the trails wasn't too bad. Don't know how long Foresthill road is gonna hold out though, there was a mudslide on part of the road and its back open to two lanes but still looks unstable.

Does this mean we're having a party at Putter's pad?
