We're headed BACK to Pismo for Sept. 29 - Oct. 1.... then to Hollister for the weekend prior to Halloween...


Anyone have any updates for the fire in the Castaic area... ??

Can you still get to Gorman/Hungry Valley to ride???

Other than the fire - how's the weather been down there?

 

I called Gorman today and the ranger said they will not be open this weekend but they are hoping to be open by next weekend. I can’t wait I miss it already, we went up after the fires started and they had just closed it down the fire was with in two miles. The ranger said everything is fine there but they have to wait. I guess we are going to have to stick to the good old 247 hwy for riding fun for now. Going out next weekend not sure where yet I think we are going to slash x. never been to that area but my dad knows where it is at. well let me know if anyone is going up there next weekend maybe we can all meet up.

 

Tracy, Drink a beer for me at Slash x. Love the place. Be careful. They have new hours - closed mon thru wed. Fri close at 5:00 pm. Sat and sun close late..... Hope these winds die down a little out there. Sucks when it gets windy. Hope you have paddles for dumond and glamis. Riding at the dunes is coming real soon. I'll be out there at Dumont Oct. 6,7, 8, for the Banshee wars.

So we went to Ocotillo a week or so ago and it was great! I highly recommend it! It was very open with all kinds of tough terrain, soft sand, and things to jump. . .we are going back next weekend (we have family in town this weekend = blah) to have some fun and break in our new sweet nerfs. Woot!!

When does Glamis season start for you all?! I am dying to go.

 

Anyone have Thanksgiving Week reservations they want to get rid of at Pismo? I have a friend who failed to make his reservations.

 

has anyone ever camped in slash x area? how was it? are there any bathrooms? and any other info you canthink of. thanks for all your help tracy

 

slash x has bathrooms and you can camp pretty close to them

 

whats up all. Glamis weather last weekend was great. It was maybe 90 with a nice breeze. The place was deserted. We where just past the store down at wash 19. It was great. Got to break in the new 07 zuki LTR 450. Anyway just thought Just a little FYI on Glamis's weather.
