Had a sheirff come over and look the bikes over and he said that things will be changing at miami. Next year there will be more patroling for out law riders. If caught riding on unmarked trails or makeing your own you will be fined $5,000. They are going to make this a designated riding area. He said that Clear Creek is going to do the same thing as Hollister in october. Does anyone have any more info on these riding areas?

Thanks

It's part (well the Forest areas) of the Access Travel Management or whatever the USFS is doing across the national. Basically trails will be closed unless marked open. :/ I hope they leave the roads around Miami alone. I like the ride to Signal Peak. Now if they would just do some ongoing maintenance it would be really nice.

I have no clue what BLM is doing over at Clear Creek.

BRW where is Signal Peak at? We did a 62 mile ride over to Jerseydale on sat. It was a dusty day. But still a lot of fun. I got monky but that day.

You rode right past it. powerstroke01 and I did the Jerseydale ride a few years back. It's a lookout tower. It's marked as "Devil's Peak" here on this map.

Stay on 4S04 instead of taking 5S25 To Jerseydale. There's a sign there at the corner, IIRC. There's about 4 roads come to an intersection. Then you basically follow the road, it makes a u-turn and heads up the mountain. Easy way to spot it is the black refeclector for the Rangers for Yosemite. Nice view down to Wawona.

Miami is still open. Some trails will be closed according to the FS plan. Some trails may close on a seasonal basis as well.

Maps

Miami is in the Fish Camp quad for the most part. Mainly the SE, NE and NW 1/4s.

B&RW, I would like to know if there is a place to stop at to eat or get fuel if we ride from Miami Trails to Jersey Dale or how far can we go to the west of Miami. Hope you guys can find Burro this time. LOL

There's nothing up there that I know of. Unless you have someone meet you at Chowchilla Mountain Rd or so. Maybe even Jerseydale. Jerseydale is pretty much the end of the line that I know of going west.
