Default atv friendly in california

In the last 2 weeks, i've spent 4 days at bear river resovoir resort. For those of you who don't know, it's aobut half way to tahoe on hwy 88. They have a nice campground, right on the lake, with hook-ups, water and power. Showers, clean bathrooms, restaurant, store, bar, and the fishing looked pretty good. Here's the best thing, there atv friendly, you can ride your quad in the campground, posted speed limit. There is plenty of trails that you can access, right from the campground. The best one is the pardoe trail, which goes up around silver lake, and reaches an altitude of 9200 ft. In places it's part of the emigrant trail. It's has some real rocky places, and plenty of beautiful scenery. Your also close to the pipi valley, and the leek springs area, a couple other good places to ride. Try it, i think you'll like it.

Thanks for that post. Although a So-Cal resident now, I still like the Central and Northern California Sierra.

Bear river is a nice area . Now only if there wasnt that trailer park there. We are possibly going to buy a friends cabin up on the ridge on the south side of the lake. Its an ok area in the winter for snowmobiling too which is why we are interested in it. Sean
