I have recently moved to Yuma AZ and I know the Imperial Sand Dunes are pretty much out my back door. When is a good time to go to the dunes and ride when there are others there to ride with? What are some good spots to ride there in the dunes. If anyone could any information on the dunes I would geatly appreciate it.

 

Glamis has to be the best place to ride IMHO. The bowls are incredible! I have ridden up and down the East Coast, Silver Lake MI, Sand Mountain NV and none of those places can compare. I just went riding last weekend out there. During the day it is extremely hot out, but night time it's like 75 ish. Also ride from sunrise until about 0900 ad its perfect weather also. The official season starts around Halloween. The holiday weekends are a mad house.Last year they estimated approx 300K people out during thanksgiving weekend. Camping off of Gecko Road is fine.
