Central Virginia Trails
#1
Like the title says, looking for spots in central VA. I recently bought a '04 Arctic Cat 650 and haven't even got it broke in yet. There are power line right-of-ways behind the house here in Chesterfield but they are rather short and boring. I searched through older posts and read about a couple spots, but there were no elaboration on where they are and google didn't help me out either. Any info would be much appreciated. Also looking for riding buddies in the area as well...Thanks

Get in touch with the riding club in the Richmond area, they have access to a couple private riding areas in the vicinity...

In the Richmond area, the club to talk to is ATV-VA... (http://www.atv-va.com/) They have several club sponsored riding areas, and events throughout the year, and generally plan at least one event a month.
In Northern VA, there is the the Northern VA trail riders... and they run a few events per year as well. They are made up primarily of dual sport bikes, but they do have a few die hard ATV riders, and they call Tasker's Gap near Front Royal their home track.
There are a lot of riding areas in VA if you wish to drive a little. Mostly in the South and South West part of the state. In VA, they follow the Safety guidlines, so your children must ride machines sizes that match them or they will turn you away. Ditto for West Virginia as well. For you Northern VA riders, there is also quite a few areas in PA within a decent driving period. Also, there is a riding park in Southern MD... but their membership fees are STEEP... no.. they are downright OUTRAGEOUS... Plan on spending a C note per person.. or more the first day.
