if you go hwy 321 in carter county tenn. to elk mills, stop at general store(old country store) and ask for directions to white oak. probably have to park at old school in elk mills then take old road to mountains. we used to get grapevine up there, always wanted to take an atv there, but never did. if you check out mapquest, it covers walnut mountain also, many many old logging roads. just watch out for the 2 ghost dogs. if you have some extra food or crumbs, please leave them for the dogs at the old church up there, cant miss.
