I used to go ever fall just north of that a couple miles, Lourention(sp) Lodge.
Great place that’s fairly affordable with the money exchange. Great riding as well. Plenty of rocky slow hilly stuff, fast fire roads, big gravel pits, and just about anything you could possibly want to ride. Decent pike fishing on the lower lake as well.

I live about 2 hours from Elliot Lake. Beautiful place. If you can get a map of the area their are hundreds of lakes in the area. Like the previous thread stated all types of terrain to ride. If fishing is your game a lot of small lakes loaded with brook and lake trout. Spring time best for them. atvontario.com is a site you might want to check. they have Elliot Lake listed along with other sites in Ontario that have designated clubs and organized trail systems. Lodging and riding plans and rates listed their as well.

I've been through some of the trail system during winter. The trails that were designated atv trails in the summer were open to sleds in the winter! The town must really cater to atvers, because some of the Welcome Atver signs were pretty elaborate. Everything was smooth in the winter, due to being groomed, so i can't tell you about trail conditions. But the area is very beautiful, hilly with alot of lakes and the people were extremely nice. It is a destination on my "places to ride list". Another suggestion, would be to stay at Laurentain Lodge, absolutely awesome!!!!!! Another suggestion would be, the ability to carry gas, so you don't have to make your way back to town if you need some, from the looks of it, the trails loop and you can stay on them all day without going over the same trail twice, I mean the area has probably a few hundred miles of trail, and thats not including the logging roads you can get lost on.
