Does anybody know of any good places to ride in iowa, such as trails by the highway, hidden trails, etc. I know where all the atv parks are. I just want to know if theres any place you can ride out in the country.

Hey Grizz, I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I live in Waukee which around the Des Moines area. What area are you from? I have recently got back into quads after a few years off from them. I haven't had an opportunity to ride lately but am looking for some good people to ride with. Let me know if you would like to get together sometime and we can figure out someplace to ride. I'm not much for the parks due to all the idiots that tend to be there. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great people that ride in the parks but it's those few bad ones who can ruin a trip.

 

Keep an eye on the weather and ride on the ice when ever the rivers are frozen. The frozen rivers around Des Moines offer some great riding. I just went for about 30 miles yesterday and had a blast. Too bad it's suppose to get warm later this week!
