Island Park Idaho
#1
We are taking a family trip out West from Minnesota to Eagle Ridge Ranch near Island Park, ID in mid to late June. I have sent them an email and have searched on here as well. I have found some information but am wondering if anyone can give me any specific info to riding around Island Park and Eagle Ridge Ranch in particular. It used to be called Jacob's Ranch. I would just want some scenic mountain riding. Nothing extreme as my wife or kids would be with me. Any contact info would be great as well for trail maps and such... Thanks.... Thanks PotatoJoe. I called up the Ranch and spoke to them. I can ride right from the Ranch so I'm taking my Prairie with. Should be fun. Gotta put one of them orange flags on it though due to the county laws I guess.

Here's a link to a site that I use when picking a place to camp. It has some good information and may offer some areas you can ride. I'm sure there's other sites around. I live some 2 hours south of I.P. I've never ridden up there, but have heard it's awesome. I'd beware that some trails don't open up until July due to the snow. I've camped in mid-June in Western Wyo in the Grey's River area and have been disappointed that the trails are closed and don't open until July 1st. I'd make for sure they are open by first hand information or by map. Good luck.

Wheristhemud,
One mroe thing. There is a trial, about 30 miles long that connects Island Park to West Yellowstone. I understand it is quit the ride. I believe it is about a 1 in difficulty though and has long stretches of straithaways. It follows an old railroad track and is rather scenic. enjoy your time in IP. We camp there in Aug, but don't ride as the rest of my family doesn't have atv's. We love it. Later.
