We are going to St. George and would like some information and or directions to some trail heads in this area and surrounding areas. we are making our way from there though Zoin park, down to corral pink sand dunes, Kanab, page, then back up to Moab. thanks

I live in Kanab, check out our new (yesterday ) Web site utazatvclub.org there is a lot of information on it pictures, rides etc. We are still working on it. March is a good time to ride, the Coral Pink sand dunes. It was on the Man's channel in Jan and will be back on in Feb 14 to 20th. Kanab, Ceader Mt. and Grand Staircase will be on in May 9 -15 and again in Aug 1-7. let me know maybe we can work out a ride or two. I've heard there is a lot of good riding right out of St. George also. Do you know of any trail heads?

IdahoSpud I am not familer with a slot canyon in the S.G. area as I havn't rode in that area. you should beable to get info from Tri-State OHV on ATVutah .com. There are slot canyons in the barricks area of the Virgen river and One north of Kanab. I don't know where the picture was I havn't seen the picture.

Can anyone give me directions to the Hurricane Sands trail head out of St. George.

Idaho Spud if the area you are asking about is also called sand hollow the exit is off of I-15. The Hurricane exit and there will be a sign that directs you to sand hollow on the right side as you head to Hurricane, about 2 miles (east) from I-15. You can also try going to to www.700v.com there is a guy on there named eyedoc that lives in that area and rides there all the time, he may be able to give you more information.

 

Is there a good road from St George to Kanab with out having to go threw Zion?

 

Idaho: yes you turn right at the stop light by the Wells Fargo Bank it is on left, and the park is on the right. It goes to Fredonia AZ and Grand Canyon. I think the number is 389, go one block turn left, go streight up the hill to Fredonia AZ, you go past Colorado City AZ, about 50 miles turn left in Fredonia at the junction of 89A and 389, go 7 miles North to Kanab. The worst part is the hill at Hurricane. The big trucks have to go this way, they can't go throught the park. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
