Rockport has some great wooded trails. We ride there a lot. Great, friendly folks too.
As for South Fork in Taylorville, I won't go back to that place for quite a while. Once the river gets up and floods the area, you can't even access about 3/4 of South Fork. For sport riders, the track is usually dry, but forget about the trails. Maybe ole Leroy should take some of all that grant money he's getting and build some levees. Oh, and the extra 135 acres they keep advertising they have isn't even accessible from the main property until they build a 80 ft. bridge. ...I'm assuming across the river. That oughta be interesting. They didn't check us for Illinois access stickers...didn't try to sell us one...and ever other rider you see has a passenger. Keep in mind, they also got grant money to start an ATV safety program. Well, at least most of the riders had helmets. Sorry, but I'm not impressed. He's squandering away grant money that should be being used to provide a better riding area for all riders. Instead, he's sinking more of it into the race track part of it to cater to the AMA sanctioned events they have. That's where he makes most of his money. Basically, he's trying to get rich off of our money.
