Default Close to Iowa??? or surrounding states possibly...

Hey,

Not to bring up an obvious question or anything...

But could you guys recommend some places to ride for me? I'm from Iowa...and am always interested in a new place to ride. We usually enjoy about any type of ride....sand, hill climbs, trails, just about anything.

I know of Bussey, Ia...that is the only one in Iowa I've heard of. If there are some relatively close places that would be huge. Little Sahara park in Oklahoma is the closest one I know about so far. Any news would be hugely appreciated...

Thanks.

There is some riding up in Waterloo also. It has a couple tracks and some trails along the river. There are also some sand pits that I don't think we are suppose to ride in but there are always people there. Ft Dodge is also making a huge are to ride. They have 1500 acres up there. I know they have it completely fenced in now. Not sure when it will be completely done. I know they are making camping spots and a concession stand also. Othere that that, there is the black river falls area in Wisconsin that is about 5 hours away. It it mainly trail riding. You get some good mud in the spring. We usually ride ovdr a hundred miles a day up there. That is where I usually ride around here. I live in Des Moines.

I do wekend trips to Black River Falls, The Black Hills and 1 or 2 week trips to Colorado every year. For me being in the absolute NW corner of the state, I am about equaly spaced between Wisconsin and The Black Hills. They are abought 5-7 hours. I may try Little Sahara some time as well. My freinds figure it isent much ferther. We typacly ride abought 100-140 miles a day in the first 2 places. Last year we took a 8 day trip to Colorado and rode 6 days putting around 630 miles on the machines. I plan to try and do this twice this year along with some wekend trips to Wisconsin and South Dakota. As far as riding around here we just hit some local sand and gravel pitts and pray that Fort Dodge gets opend up again. That is buy far the best riding in Iowa.
