Went to Shiloh Ridge this past weekend. We were camping and riding for three days. With the size of that place and trails in every direction we had a blast. The hills are my favorite though there is mud areas too. Saturday night a storm came through and one of the tents leaked bad [ bummer ]. My cousin said the grandkids just inherited a tent and he was buying a new one when he got home. It is not too far a drive from Lumberton since it is about 20 miles north of Lufkin. A sad thing did happen while we were there. After dark we were sitting around the campfire when we saw flashing lights driving through the entrance. We learned that a jeep had rolled with a man and his girlfriend. At about the same time a 4wheeler was riding double up a very steep hill and flipped. We were told some of them were hurt bad. Does anyone know if there is a group in the Beaumont area that rides together?

They have one hill at shiloh called hospital hill and it's named that for a reason. It's about a 70deg slope with ruts and roots all the way up. One wrong move and your tumbling down about 50ft of hard red clay with a mud hole at the bottom. Your not kidding about all the trails. The first time me and my son went there we got lost and spent about 3hrs trying to find the camp ground. The whole 3hrs we didn't see a single person and there were about 200 people there that day. That was the same day they air lifted someone out after they failed to make it to the top of a hill they were trying to climb. The parks a lot of fun but there are a lot of spots that you can get seriously hrt if you don't know what your doing and are not carefull. I wish it was closer to me, I'm about 60 miles from it.
