Does anyone have any info regarding Lake Murray Riding Area?

What kind of terrain?
Costs?
What exit do you take off of I-35?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I've got some info at the house. Have it memorized, but have to look to give you the specific exits. Riding is 7 bucks per person, per day (6am to 6am last time I was there). Tent camping was 7 bucks per tent. They have electric/water hook ups for 19 bucks a night. Going up there this weekend. Hope the weather holds up. Want to say it's exit 29, but have to look. Can't think of the exit you take off that highway, but I know you turn left at the brass horse (there's a large brass horse marking a school. It's on a pole about 20 feet in the air).
As far as terrain, they have sand, mud (if it rains), woods and some rocky (nothing serious) parts. They have showers and restrooms. If you don't want to camp, they have a large parking lot.

Got the info.
I35 to exit 29 (Hwy 70), go East (left), go 5 miles to Lindsey Rd (or Lindey can't look it up at work), that's where you'll see the gold horse on the left. Turn Right on Lindsey and go to first road on the right. That is the entrance to the park.
Rates are $7 per person a day to ride
$19 for RV parking (electric/water)
$8 primitive camping (includes trailers/camper) per tent/camper
Showers are 3 minutes for 50 or 75 cents, can't remember, so bring a handful of quarters.
Phone number is 580-223-4044

Here's a link to a gallery with some pics. They didn't really get into the wooded areas. Some of those are pretty tight trails, especially at night. Pics

The exit will be the last Ardmore exit (driving south). I don't know the number, but it will be the Hwy 70 exit towards Madill (not the Lake Murray exit). Follow Hwy 70, you'll go through a 4 way stop and keep going, turn right at the Gold Horse, or you can go another mile down to a small store, follow the road around behind the store about a mile and you'll see the entrance (there's a sign visable from the road). We are going to Little Sahara this weekend, but may run out there Saturday Morning if there will be a crowd, and our 250R's are running right. Oh, I live in Marietta, 20 miles south of Murray. Have fun, be safe...

I wish the weather would warm up here. I am from Wynnewood and that is one thing I miss is the warmer weather sooner in the year. It is still around 45 deg. here. I used to go down to JW and Cody Hart's dad Randy Hart's place and ride bulls. I miss that too.

Just got back from Lake Murray Sunday. The camping area is 100% better. They've paved the main parking lot and acces roads to the campsites. All campsites have concrete pads for campers or your trucks. All have fire rings, grills and picnic tables. They've just about finished adding on the last of their electric/water sites, which should bring the total to 23 (not sure on that number). The trails this weekend had a more dirt than mud, but if you found it, it was deep and thick. Hope to get some pictures developed and on my page sometime this week. If you have any questions about the place, give me a PM.
