Nanticoke PA. Best trails in N.E. PA.
#1
If you like diversity you have to check out Nanticoke Pa. This is legal riding at its best. You have Mud,old railroad beds, strip mines, and woods riding. The Earth Conservancy oversees it and it is getting better all the time. There are currently about 38 miles of trails. The area is a little trashy, people have been using it for a dump for years but the conservancy is cleaning it up. If you want to check it out get of I-81 at the nanticoke exit (route29) follow this to exit three for Nanticoke go to the bottom of ramp and make a left go into town and ask someone where to park. Or just follow the truck loads of Quads.

There is no phone number that I am aware of. This area is pretty much under development. But open the best time to go is on weekends, and find someone to show you around. If you can,t find anyone go Exploring lots of trails just be carefull. This Is strip mine territory!!!! You dont want to go flying over the top of any of the 100,s of collum banks without knowing whats on the other side. Some of them drop off a couple hundred feet into the woods and rivers. In other words use your head, and think before you leap. this is safe rideing if you ride smart!!!! Have fun Hambone

If you go listen to hambone and myself BE CAREFUL. I broke my arm ther riding off one of those cliff`s in `95. Part of it was a working strip mine, don`t know if it still is haven`t been back yet. It was a trail along the edge of the woods rode the trail one day went there the next day and they stripped the the hillside back. It was straight down about 18 to 20 feet. I bailed landed on my feet, and when I fell backward I stuck my arm out and snap went the wrist & elbow. My pride was hurt more than the arm. When you get older your not suppost to do stupid stuff right? The guy I was riding with had to drive his brand new Jeep (2000 mi.) in to get me through the mud and tree`s.
The Warrior landed on it`s wheels and stayed up right not a scratch was thankful for that anyway.
