riding in ny state near rochester
I am just outside Rochester, NY in the Churchville area and we have access to a great main trail that has some good spots off of it. I can get to it from my driveway with no trailers required! Of course, you'd have to get your unit out here, but once your here we can ride right from my driveway to the main trail easily.
The main trail is an old railbed that goes from Churchville all the way to the town of Alba which is a good 20-25 miles. It's dirt and rock and is mostly smooth. The main trail can get bumpy but I know where all the bad spots are so just follow me Then, off of the main trail there are some good woods trails that we could hit. These will require 4wd since it gets pretty nasty in the woods and the ruts can get pretty deep. Overall, it's a nice trail system and we can be there LEGALLY. There is also a nature center with a natural spring, a nice pond area with picnic benches, and various other things to enjoy. Just be sure you have your ATV registered and insured because the DEC does patrol out there. Get in touch with me if you'd like to ride some time, I'm open most of the time....

Hate to bump a post from so long ago but I am thinking that many things have changed in the Rochester area almost 9 years ago. So is anyone still around? I am from the Churchville area and looking for places to ride.
I don't believe to West Shore Trail line is still ridable as in trailer into town and riding the trail that way. Since they have done so much to the trail recently.

hey guys, Im new to the area and I see all this info is from 12 + years ago, any new places close to pittsford/ rochester area where people ride unbothered. Also, how is law enforcement about these vehicles either on the roads or on trails, by long island ( where I'm from) its a disaster except when it snows and it seems as if no one cares all that much
