concessions would be awesome ... and i like the idea about the drag section.. that back area is great if it's kept up with ... maybe someone with some good persuasion skills should takl to the park rangers or write a state rep???

 

I just wanted to say that I had a blast watching all you sport quad racers drag race on the flats yesterday. Some of those pipes were rattling my eardrums....lol....I wonder if my AT could hang.....

 

I did tell that park ranger that it would be nice to establish an area just for dragging. I told him that if they would grade it that it would be nice and if they could barracade off that area it would be a safer situation. He told me that he agreed about designating an area for that purpose and that they do grade out there. He also said that he thought it could be a possibility if a person / group were to propose the idea and basically be in charge of setting it up. I don't know if the state officials would allow anything like that to happen, but maybe someone could check into it.

 

I can only make a few trips up there a year,but if they do make a drag strip,PLEASE let me know.I LOVE DRAG RACING!!!!!!!!!Should it be set up for two at a time or room for several bikes at one time?Should it be 300f.t. or longer?Both would be a blast.BOM and Macanic would have to give everyone else a chance at winning.LOL![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Yep, a dedicated drag area would be sweet and much safer. I get nervous watching out for someone to pull out in front of me.

 

Yeah,doing a superman is freestyle.Not having someone pulling out in front of you and launching you off your bike.OUCH!

 

Well, if you know anyone with a rake or something we could hook up to the back of my traxter we could get there early and smooth out a decent sized spot to race on. I have no problem spending some time smoothing out the back area. Hitting some of those bumps full throttle is a little nerve wracking.
