i thought the whole state of maine was closed this year for mud season

99% of the trails up here are closed until May15th.
If it is open it probably isn't an official ATV trail.

 

i think well hit the rocck trail this weekend only one month from today everything open yyeeeeehhhaaaaaaa i ccant wait (my leg should be good then)

 

Is there a lot of ridding in Sanford aera? If so how many miles and what kind of terrain?

 

I think all established trails (read: trails specifically intended for ATV's and funded with state $$$) are indeed closed. But if you are like me, and have a camp in an area with 100's of miles of old logging roads that are not usually marked in any way for ATV's or snowmobiles, then I think you're ok. But I could be wrong about that, some say the law is very specific about the ENTIRE state being closed during mud season. It's not stopping me this weekend though...
