ATV trails in Northern WI
#2
I am almost positive that the trails in Northern Wisconsin close around the middle of October until the Middle of December to allow the hunting season to be safe. I cant imagine allowing ATVers onto all of the trails while the bow/gun season is in full swing.
I would check with the DNR and WATVA.

FYI - Here's the reply I got from the DNR
Mark,
The trails you inquired about should be open unless closed by the particular
group(s) running them. The Sheriff's office or chamber(s) of commerce,
travel tourism center(s) in the area you plan to ride could be of benefit to
you. Without knowing what particular stretch of trail you are going to
visit, it would be difficult to cart-blanche say "yes" they are all open.
Some trails are closed depending on construction, damage and/or time of year
(winter/spring). You should check locally for the trails you wish to ride.
If you determine what area you will be going I can find further information
for you.
Blaze orange is not required to be worn while riding if you are not hunting.
If you were to hunt anything besides waterfowl, during the T-zone, then the
answer is yes. It might not be a bad idea to have it on during this time
period.
Write back if you need further help.
