Bella Vista,Ar. Riding area closed down
After much talk and debate the riding area off Grovsner Rd. has been shut down. Here is a copy of the e-mail sent to me by several people:
ATV Users Face Penalties For Trespassing On Posted Property
All-terrain vehicle use in Bella Vista has been addressed by Cooper Communities, Inc., and the Bella Vista Sheriff’s Office.
According to Bella Vista Deputy Chief Jim Wozniak, the CCI gravel pit areas on Grosvenor Road were posted April 19 to forbid their use by recreational four-wheelers. CCI posted the property pursuant to state law, using a combination of signs and paint markings on trees that conform to the Arkansas Forestry Commission standards.
Under Arkansas state law, it is unlawful for anyone to enter for recreational purposes upon property that has been so posted, unless they have written permission to do so.
The postings come as a result of numerous and continuous complaints of illegal use of CCI land by drivers of ATVs. Members of the Bella Vista Sheriff’s Office plan to provide additional patrols of the area and will enforce violations.
Additional information about the matter is available by contacting Wozniak at (479) 855-8051
This is too bad as it is ,WAS , a great riding area.....
