Hi Folks!
#1
I am new to this forum, and well any forum for that matter. I am in Iraq right now and ride around on a put together Honda 300 something or other to get around. I love riding this thing, and here it is flat and mostly dust. I can't wait to get back home to Port Orchard and purchase a new something or other. I have no clue where to ride or what type of ride to buy-why I joined this forum. I like to hunt, and have fun, i think trail riding would be fun-God I miss trees and the beauty we take for granted. Anyway I was thinking about a 450 Yamaha-my yamaha outboard never gave me grief. Anyway i wold love suggestions on where and what to ride, I am about 50, 210lbs and about 6'0, I think that may matter on what size to buy. and I would just like to here from folks in WA with similar interests.

Hey, we're practically neighbors! My buddy just got back from Iraq. He was showing us pictures... the first thing I thought of was that it would be an awesome place to ride quads, except for those insurgents I know one of the guys at Cliff's Cycle pretty good. Let me know when you get back and we'll make a trip down there.

Well I work for the Army here as I do back home. When I got out a long time ago i never thought that I would end up back in a war zone but life is interesting. To jedimike, your right we can't live to far apart, I would love to get together when I get home. I know there has to be lots of places to ride around were we live, unfortunately I don't know any of them.

Yah, Washington has quite a few official riding areas and a lot more unofficial ones. We just passed a bill that allows property owners to open up there land to ORV use. Check out the Puget Sound are riders thread just below this one and introduce yourself. It is very long so just go to the last page and say hi. The riders on there are a great group of people to be around and know of tons of areas to ride.
...it's about 11 hours difference to Iraq right? I guess it's getting late for you.
