Finger Lakes Missouri
#1
Need some updates on Fingers Lakes in Columbia Mo. I went there last spring and it wasnt very much fun. The trails were very narrow and the mud holes were horrible rutted out. We have heard though that they improved it. Someone said that they cleaned up the trails and cleaned out the mud holes. Just wondering how it is? Mostly wondedring how the mud is. We ride alot at Deepwater but am wanting some new mud to play in. Thanks Danny Regan

I haven't been to finger lakes for a couple of years because of the same reason. I did drive by Deepwater on Sunday and there was a lot of people there. Where is Freeman Mo. ? There are other places to ride in Mo. My favorite place is Chadwick. However I was at St Joe State Park last weekend there was some mud there but nothing like Deepwater.

Freeman is 9 miles west of harrisonville on hwy 2. We usually go to deepwater but need new mud. Never been to chadwick because there isn any mud. St joe is fun but only a few mud holes, we usually go there and camp for a relaxing weekend. Just havnt been to fingers lakes in a while and need more infor on the mud situation there.

I will try to get out there this week and let you know how it is. With the rain that we have had this last month, I would susspect that it is still really wet with the 'atomic mud'.
I find the narrow trails, 'atomic mud' and ruts to be the attraction to finger lakes :-)

Click here to see sat image of Finger Lakes State Park
Click to visit the Finger Lakes State Park site (not much to it)
Google Maps are really cool :-)
Too bad we can't get up-to-date sat images to see how the trail conditions are :-)
I hope this gives you a better Idea of what we are riding in/on.
Ok, I just clicked on the Google Maps link and it does not work like I had intended, so you may have to zoom in to the large mass of green trees near the center.

Just find a lake or river... Then point your quad at it.... Now give it full throttle and try to have your quad going as fast as it will go before you hit the water..............
