Hell yes. I live in Henrietta and I know of at least 4 people that would be there EVERY weekend if you had such a place.

If you do that you will also want to link up with the local ATV dealers (Hollink, Cyclestop) to let them know so they can tell people.

Off Lehigh. I don't ride yet...still shopping for a quad. I should be getting one soon though, within the next month or so.

 

A buddy of mine and I are going to Rocky Roost next Wednesday, if anyone is interested. I was going to go to Trailpass in lyons but, when I e-mailed the guy, asking about insurance, he was a real jerk to me. I won't ever go there now. Besides, I think it is ridiculous that you have to pay $5.00 to park, $10.00 to have your quad "inspected" and then another $25.00 to ride. He rudely claimed that it was NYS law to have insurance. If that is the case, why doesn't Rocky Roost require it? Go figure. Anyway, we will be heading out from Henrietta around 9am on Wednesday to go to Rocky Roost.

 

Well, you do need to have liability insurance to ride on any land other than your own in this state. Rocky Roost gets an exemption because he has it set up as a "closed course" If you have Trailpass, it is only $15.00 the first day in Lyons, and $5/day after that. Rocky Roost is always $15, and another 1/2 hour down the road.

 

I did not know that was how they got around the exemption. Thanks for the information. The guy was still a jerk to me. Anyway, have you ever ridden in Lyons? You like it better than Rocky Roost?

 

Sounds like alot of people have been looking for a place like this. We have three quads and live just east of rochester and the best place to ride so far is tug hill area,,nice trails/back roads. I personally would join a club like this and ride with my family,,all qauds are registered and insured.
