I hear that theory, the quad will dump a gallon on a long day. Oh no, I spent $5 having fun. That is cheap considering what the lounge can get from a person in a night.

 

I have to travel to Wisconsin to ride any decent trails and when you factor in a 500 mile round trip pulling a trailer (13-15 mpg) Hotel and food. I just can't justify it.

 

Here in shelton connecticut there around $3.50 but nope i will not let this affect my atv hobby.

 

It won't affect racing the ole' quadcycle, just on how I get my gurl to the show. F350 vs. S-10 Blazer. mmmmmmmmmm

 

There are four gas stations in the area where I get fuel... Two were out of fuel, one was closed and the other I paid $3.42 a gallon for diesel this morning... OUCH!

 

It is affecting my racing season.. I race XC and I have missed 2 races already do to the high gas prices.. I cant afford the race expenses on top of $3.09 a gallon gas to travel anywhere from 100-500 miles to attend the races.. It is getting out of control..

 

The prices are about $2.60 here...

 

right now im paying 3.59 for premium gas for my 400 ex


it only costs me 10 bucks a month to ride

that gives me about 30 hrs of riding or so

and the places i ride are less then 10 miles away so i can get a months worth of riding in for about 25 dollars for the 4 wheeler and truck...truck takes regular and right now its 3.31 a gallon

only thing the gas prices have caused me to do is not go to far away car shows like i usually do in the summer

with prices the way they are right now im prolly spending an extra 10 dollars a week in gas so its barely noticeable

 

it is because of that dang hurricane shut down 7 refinerys (spelling?).

 

I paid $3.11 for regular unleaded north of Boston today for ride to S. Maine tomorrow, I ususally only ride twice a month, but have to drive 70-100 miles each way so I may slow up a bit. Have to look for other ways to cut back. Fortunately my company pays for my milage every day and the IRS just raised the allowance to .48 a mile!!!
