Marrienville Poker Run
#1
What a great weekend, perfect weather, dry trails (compared to the Edinboro Mud Fest),and riding with your family and friends.Marrienville may not have the most challenging trails but it sure is a good time.I think the people make the difference.I've never run into a single jerk at this run.I took my son up for the weekend my brother (Gordo37) and his son and a group of friends. We all had a great time my brother is going to be jagging me forever about wheelying myself into Bruisedassville at the one mud pit.Allthough I'm a little banged up it was definetely worth the price of admision.Hope to see you in the spring

I didn't see any jerks either, although the guy who rolled his Prairie in the water hole, and the guy who attempted to cut down a tree with his Honda 15 feet off the trail down in the woods definitely pushed the envelope.
It's always a good family event, even tho we almost froze to death early Sunday. On the positive side, my snorkle setup did well in a half dozen runs in the water hole.

this jerk wont wont be back next year, wheres the free "pig" roast, "free" bike wash, free spaghetti whatever it was, the $5 for the poker run? it was advertised as being included with my $25 from what i read and most importantly where were the freakin trails? now i need new tires, i never rode on so much asphalt!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me
Sure there was a free meal, wasnt a dang pig i tell ya it was a raw burger
Sure there was a bike wash, but dont forget to make that donation
There musta been spaghetti somewhere, but i couldnt find it, didnt actually look for it either
I did appreciate that someone sprayed water on the "green" loop with water for my second trip through to keep the dust down

hey warrior007-2 this was a charity event quit your whining and be glad you were allowed to ride with the govt. closing down riding areas all the time we should be thankful for organized events even if they don't fullfill all of excpectations.

The pig roast was held at Marienville Powersports Saturday afternoon, and it was chow! I think it's a great ride even if it is mainly roads, especially with all the little kids & senior citizens on the ride. Heck, you can't legally go on 90% of the route any other time of the year, so I really enjoyed it!
