You want to talk to Gus. He rides there, and seems to like it. I will PM him and tell him to reply to your post.

Rowher Flats is a cool little place.
I've been several times, both with the ATV and Rhino, and there is a great mix of easy fire roads that snake up the side of a mountain and REALLY hard 4x4 locked diff stuff. The views from the top are great, lake on one side and mountains on the other.
There are streams (one of which is designated as a trail, the first time I've ever seen a stream as a trail) when there's water flowing, and 3 nice staging areas, a kiddie track, all sorts of stuff.
To play around a day, it's great, and a good choice for that local area.
I've never been to Hungry Valley (it's quite a bit further for me) but I hear good things about that as well.
Have fun!

Great! Thanks for the good words....I can't wait since it is only about 45 mins from my house. I also like crashing through streams. Should be fun. Thanks again.

I much prefer hungry valley aka gorman.. it's another half hour north... rowher is still nice... make sure you stop by the ranger station and buy a pass... I think you can get a yearly pass to there too....

I think rowher has better views.. and is closer to me too... gorman is just .... BIG

One more question....How is the parking and entrance? I tow a 4X8 trailer behind an '89 Mustang GT, so I really can't take it too deep into the dirt. Will I be able to take my car somewhere to unload?

You shouldn't have too much of a problem, if you go slow. It's a 2 mile dirt road up to the staging area, and there are some small ruts, but nothing a car can't handle if you go slowly.

Well, We got her the quad Saturday and just got back from Rowher tonight. That place is great and very close. The winds started to pick up when we were leaving. I think I only covered about a third of that place. Couldn't go very fast with the wife trailing behind. Thanks for the info again. Have you ever had a problem with the rangers giving tickets for no pass? There was no place to buy them there.
