Does the Wisconsin T Zone deer hunting this weekend mean that ATVs will not be allowed out on the trails? (Like during the regular season)

 

From what I've heard there trail sys. closes on Nov 1st and won't reopen until early Dec snow conditions permiting. Do you ride in the winter?

Sure, I ride in the winter. If there is not enough snow for the Pantera I take the Magnum out. In Wisconsin of course, here in the great state of MN we are bound to use the lakes.

I like riding on a sunny winter day. This year I think that I will ride around Mille Lacs.

 

No, I gave the hunter's a break and stayed at home for the weekend. I heard that they harvested in excess of 30,000 antlerless deer. Do you have a more up to date count?

 

It's over with now but I did get a response from the DNR and the trails would remain open to atv's during TZone season. But he mentioned that I should check locally with where I would ride because they may at a local level close the trail. He also added if I rode it would be a good idea to wear blaze orange.

There is also another TZone season after the regular deer season which would be in early december.

67000 antlerless deer were harvested during the first tzone season.
