DUMONT SAND DUNES!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO!

Ok, not that I've got that out of my system.

Dumont is about 1.5 to 2 hours northwest of Vegas. There are toilets so you can tent camp. If you desire more creature comforts, the town of Baker (home of the world's biggest thermometer) is only about 30 minutes away - with 3, count em, 3 - motels in town. you go through Baker on the way to the dunes.

As for rentals, I don't know. I know there are places in Vegas that will take you on day trips. There must be rentals that you can take and ride without "supervision" as well. Just do a search and you'll probably find something. I know eaglerider.com rents atv - they may have a Vegas location.

In any event there is nothing like the sights and ride of the dunes! Hope you can make it out there!
