Been way too quite around here from us. Where has everyone been riding?? When and Where are you riding next??

I really havent gotten to ride much since Hurricane Rita, just putting around the yard. My next ride will be Sicily Island, for the Clash of the Titans in March.

 

We're going up to Hwy 33 at the Homochitto River in MS Sunday. It's a huge sandbar with a flat drag strip. Supposed to be quite a few bikes out. I'm planning on making the clash in March. Hopefully my 250R will be ready.

 

It has been rather quiet from us LA riders.
I haven't rode in about a year,but have been thinking I wana go to the Catchoula Recreation.

Kfx, Sicily Island is alot better than La. Dunes. I was a regular of La. Dunes until I went to Sicily. Now I havent been back to the dunes in around a year. No since in beating myself to death riding the whoops.

You should try and make the Clash of the Titans next month. Its a great place to race and meet alot of the forum members. Dont forget to come and say hi to the fat man on the Black Ds.

 

Kajun, that bike of yours looks very familiar. Do you frequent La. Dunes. IF im right your the older guy always was at La. Dunes.

 

You're right about LA Whoops, oops I meant LA Dunes. I've been there once and it nearly beat all of us into Jello. Sicily Island has a beautiful drag strip but I'm not much into drag racing. I took my CR250 and my DS when I went to Sicily Island and had a great time riding the trails on the bike. I also managed to crash the bike about 3/4 of the way up the big hill and slide to the bottom on my chest. I then had to climb back up the hill and retrieve my bike which had hung up sideways in the cut of the hill with the handlebars down hill. No damage other than my pride and a fouled spark plug.

 

How much to get into Sicily Island?

 

DS, can you ride paddles from the truck to the sand without too much pavement in between?

 

The place I parked the first time was about 20ft. from the sand. The second time I went I parked about 100yards from the sand. ITs mostly dirt roads so you shouldnt have any problem riding on your paddles.

 

22 dollars a day or 27 for the weekend.
