Anybody familiar with the power lines heading south in New Paltz? Tried riding but they went thru apple orchards then looks like a trailer park. Can we ride thru t-park? Where do the p-lines come out on southside? Thanks.

 

i been on the power lines that ride along the thruway (dont know if they are the same lines u are talking about)
they just follow the thruway and end at some river (forget the name)--some real good riding

where are the power lines you are talking about--off what road?

 

Not sure of the road (horsenden?). northbound is good riding, the trail goes to that river - u mean the water by the covered bridge?

 

no, you can cross that covered bridge and go further

 

Yeah, I've been back as far as the dam. They built all new house back there. I want to try heading south from where I park @ t-way. Is that possible?

 

where do you park at the tway?
i have only gone north

 

Left off the t-way, 1st rite, at end make another rite, after the t-way overpass there's a place to pull off on both sides of the road. I never had a problem w/pp and ther's no houses right there. Only a farmhouse at corner. i wanted to go south from there.

 

is that just after the gas station but before the chinese rest.?
i dont think you can get too far south that way-not too many trails around
do you live in the area?

 

Way past chinese place - have to go over t-way overpass and make that rite. I live about an hour south, but New Paltz is good to ride because there's other places 2 go after - food drink, etc.. Guess north is the only trails.
