I just went there the 23rd, and something cool happened. They plowed a 10 foot wide trail in the sand near the drag strip (the one you get to by turning right out of the parking lot), about 3/4 of a mile to 1 mile long, reaching as far back as the small scum lake near the cave. It goes all the way to the main parking lot. Perfectly flat, room enough for 3 bikes to start. Also, the drag strip that you get to by turning left out of the lot, passing up the mud hole and following the fence is now full of mulch piles. Lots of them. And every one of them has been made into a ramp of some sort, offering up to 5' airs if you hit them right. One set is even a triple. Get there fast before they spread them out. My dad thinks they might be for some type of drag racing event, as they left a strip of sand down the middle of the flat. I really like what they've been doing down there lately, with this stuff, the trail rennovations and parking lot maintenance. They're thinking about raising the riding fee though, judging by the surveys. Pick one up and tell them what you want. They hint at the possibility for an MX track.....
