No, he didn't stand behind the products he sold me. One of the pistons was out of round by 2 or 3 thousandths and it scarred the cylinder wall pretty good. He wouldn't even give me a replacement piston and charged me for a new piston and rings to replace the defective one he sent me originally. The crank seems to be balanced now but that's because crankworks stood behind it. Now he won't even return the defective piston I sent him to look at. I paid 70 bucks for it and he refuses to send it back. But, hey! He did send me a free base gasket! What a guy!

Even the cylinders are an odd setup. I asked for a 10 mil and I got a 7 mil with his "custom" mods. I have to run cool head domes that are cut for the pistons to have room.

 

Pat, have you considered posting your experiences on PS in sand slingers?

 

Hey catdriver,thanks for letting us know this.That deal tells alot.Good for the rest of us to know.Not sure why companies do business like this.
Glad to know someone stood behind their work(crankworks).Who is going to finish your motor for ya?Is the cub still useable or is it ruined?Might consider going on planetsand to post in sandslingers.

I think we should bring sand bags.I have an easy 50 lbs. on macanic.So when I run him,add a 50 lb bag.I think that's fair.My wife's bike is almost stock,so add another 50 lbs.With all these sand bags he won't have any where to sit.That means he forfeits and I win.Ah,life is sweet.LOL!That's fair isn't it?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I think we'll be down on Saturday if all goes well. Still have some minor work to do on the banshees and the trailer before we can come down.
