And yes, we have been to Redtop. It is kind of a short trail, but easy for the GF. Last time I was there, the harder trails were closed. We also stopped some guys after they took down a sign and started tearing up a swamp. We put the sign and fence back up after they left. No squabble, they just rode off after giving them a talking to about atv ethics.

when i got up to the cabin i went to turn the camera on to take some pics for you and the battery was dead. my sister used it last and never recharged it. the battery charger was in the box at home so i never got any pictures. i went back to the trails to go riding and saw that the dnr closed down the trails again. they have been doing that a lot the last couple years because "the trails have been to wet" and need to dry out. which is a bunch of bull@%#&. So i would actuallly not recommend going there because of that reason but if you really want to you could go back there. we go back there sometimes but its not worth it because its a 100$ fine or something like that. sorry about not getting the pictures and if you want to go riding i would probably wait until the dnr opens the trails back up.

I have had that happen to me also. Take out the camera and it is dead, really sucks. anyways thanks for the update anyways. I noticed some trails closed this weekend. I'm sure as soon as July gets here it will dry up more. It was getting nice and dry as far as atving, but now it seems to rain every other day.

You can ride about 30 miles of trails at Spider Lake, about 24 miles north of Motley, there is nice little spots to set up tents,no reservations, just first come, first claim, weekends get busy, but during the week you would have a lot of room. In Wisconsin, I really like riding around Iron River, about 50 miles east of Duluth on Hwy 2. You can ride all week and barely see the same trails twice, lots of woods, great camping, trail access from camp or town in several areas. My son and I have always camped at Tri Lake Timbers, a great camp ground 2 miles east of Iron River, they have tent and RV sites, and several cabins to rent, and trail access from camp, no trailers once you get there. Very popular on weekends, go during the week, and you have the place almost to yourself, I would usually go on a Tuesday, and leave on Friday night, when the crowds start showing up. If you call ahead, you can get weekend spots, but they fill up fast, it is a nice riding spot that is very popular from spring to fall, then snowmobilers all winter.

we have a cabin in aitkin(30 mi north of Mil Lacs lake) that is on blind lake. across the lake there is probably 150 mi of trails to ride on. they range from dirt rodes that are nice for smooth riding to massive mudholes and trails with non stop mud. across the lake there is a campground that opened up about a year ago. it is not that busy during the summer and you can ride youre 4wheeler from the campground to the trails. the beginning of the trails are only about .5 mi from the campground. its a nice place to ride and the campground is nice. i forgot the name of the campground but i will post it later. you can also rent a boat because the campground is right on the lake. it might seem like a long drive for camping and wheeling but it is defenitly worth it. we go riding on the trails every time we go to our cabin and you can go on them for hours and hours and not get bored. check it out if you want to but if you dont you will miss out</end quote></div>
Can anybody tell me where this place is and if it is permently closed? Do you think it will be open this summer?
