Bit of a long haul though...
If I could, I'd move to KY in a heartbeat. Love that place.
Seems odd that there really isn't a lot of wilderness out here. In AZ, you just pull off the road somewhere and go to it. Even around Phoenix, the 5th biggest city in the US, a few miles from town in any direction and there are dry river beds and open desert trails aplenty. The high country 90 minutes to 3 hrs north to east offers amazing landscape to escape on. I would have thought the same existed in this region, but it seems maybe the ground is too valuable to farmers? Nothing really just laying there for public use. Then again, I am relatively new but even the locals give me blank faces when I ask.
