Looking for atv and camping 2-3 hours from NE Illinois
Hello all!
We just came home with a new 24 foot Jayco Octane toy hauler and are in need of finding places that are 2 to 3 hours from the McHenry IL (60050) area where we can unload the atvs and go play? Does anyone know of camp grounds that one can camp and having access to trials without having to drive for hours to get there? We have been to the cheese triais in WI prior to the rv and would like to try something new.
Thanks,
Thor

HI. If your willing to travel about 3 1/2 hrs you might want to try Clark county WI. Lake Arbutis in Hatfield has a county campground that backs right upto the trails. I think you have to call if you want a site on the Weekend but I was there during last week and there was plenty of sites. You can ride all of Clark county from there but they closed the connector trail to Jackson co as of Today I think.

Thanks for the info, however I am not able to transport the atvs while the trailer is on a camp site. It is a toy hauler and my towing truck is a Escalade SUV not a pickup. I need places where I can drive on the camping site to the trailes like on the Cheese Trails and Black River Falls Wi .
