My son and I are going to Slades tues (20) or wed(21) they are calling for temps at 57 and 64 degrees. Any body else going to be there? I'd like to try it when there isn't too much of a crowd with my son there not like on the weekend. I do hear that on one of the trails there is a bad hole that's beenswamping machines, and they have had a hard time recovering bikes from it. If it isn't marked (apperently it doesn't look bad at all) I'll mark it with ribbon on a tree or something. Will post update later.

Not being a smart *** by no means, it's an atv. Just take your time and enjoy the ride, hardly anybody there on weekdays. I like riding some black trails at H-M anyway. But there is never a bad day on the trails, just some better than others.

That is why group rides are so fun. You have riders and machines with different levels of experince and abilities. Not everyone wants tough mud holes or hills but it is fun to watch others try. Also knowing that there is a group there to help you, you can try more difficult trails, often time suprising yourself how well your machine can do if you give it a chance. Im looking forward to checking out Slades. Looks like your in for sure jackmax and I hope you can make it stemcell. By the way Stem, what kind of 700 do you ride? I just upgraded my ride and im going to try them out this weekend--Hope I dont break anything before March 3rd.

It's a King Quad 700 efi, 26" mud lite XTR's, 2500ramsey wireless remote winch, custom front and rear bumpers,Uni filter,2" receiver hith with propeller hith cover, Moose hand guards, mts box, steering stabilizer on order, process of relocating and insulating engine and clutch air intakes and on the list for new ecu from vdi when testing is done. My son has a 125 Yamaha Grizzly auto, I'll be driving a white Dodge ram Quad cab with big black tool box on back. My licence plate are Jeuvinile Diabetes Research plates with STEMCELL abreviated on them, can't miss it. I'm about 2 hours away, so I probably won't be there until 10/11 o'clock. Also I'd like to say that on this particular trip i will not be there to cut up and mud bog much, since I'll have my son with me. I am probably going too have the video cam with me to scout the place for a future ride of my group(about 16).I did e mail Slades and they said that the trail conditions "were fine" what ever that means. But any body that wants to test there stuff out and play hard down there, go ahead, and if someone gets stuck or needs help, I'll be there to help in anyway. I've winched and repaired a many of bike /atv up mountains, and I've needed help before too, but that's what it's all about.

Yo Stemcell-
That sounds like a nice ride you have (post some pics). I almost went with the 27" XTR's but could not resist craming some 28's under my SP. Put them to the test this past weekend and they were awsome. Let me know how your ride goes this week, I would love to make it down but it is hard to run a business in 2 feet of mud from the seat of an ATV. My stepson will be going down the 3rd with me, riding my Trailboss. Hopefully you will change your mind and bring your boy down that weekend.

I guess that is a pro and con about owning your own business also, It's easier for me to take off during the week, cause I can make up more time on the weekend, causenobody else is on the jobsite, and the park won't be so crowded. I don't mind the crowds, don't get me wrong, but I'm going to have my hands full watching the terrain and my son and if you add a whole lot of people there on a weekend, flying up on your tail, that is just too much to have to keep up with, especially when your are trying to sight see and learn the terrain. Now if I were not taking him, It would be a diffferent story. He is an insulin dependant diabetic, so as you can see, it's not a lot of work, but you just have to watch him a little closer than most.
O
h by the way, I'm not going today, my son came down with Strep throat, so we might try it on Monday next week.
I've got my own electrical business, what do you do? I'll post pics at a later date, when I finish airbox mods and new stainless snorkel kits.
