does any one know if there is any riding in or around ashland ,
are there any places to rent quads up there ?
usally igo to hew hampshire for skiing an snow mobling but with the lack of snow iwas thinking of doing some atving,possibly brining my mine up also
any info would be great

 

NH is a decent place to ride year round. During the winter, as long as there is snowcover, ATV's area allowed on the old railroad bed that runs throughout the SW portion of the state. Covers numerous towns, Westmoreland, Walpole, Keene, Swanzey, Winchester-Ashuelot, Hinsdale, and trails branch off the track bed all over the dang place. BE REGISTERED the Police can ding ya up, but the Conservation Officers ride sleds and wheelers and set up checkpoints and speed traps. As long as you obey the law, the law will help ya have fun. Giving directions and tips on fuel spots and eateries and such. Hotels in the Keene area are accessable to the trackbed and state trail system.

In the non snow months, Pisgah State Park in Winchester-Hinsdale- Chesterfield has some trails that area open to ATV's while others are jsut for Mtn Bikes and hikers.

Bear Brook state park
Pawtuckaway state park
Clough state park
Sugar river (rail trail only)
Amanoosic rail trail

This is the short list. I have freinds that ride a lot of other places besides these. I just can't remember them all. I have a mind like a steel trap! To bad it's rusted shut!
