no offense, but good luck!!!!!!!!!! there is nothin around here anymore. You should try hook up with some clubs around your area. they ride every weekend on private property, probly 30 miles a day if you want. Some clubs:
www.themudbuds.com
www.nyatvonline.com
you must have ur bike registered and insured, but it is well worth it!! just post up there, and they can show u some good, legal trails

where in ny york do you live eastern side?i live in columbia county ny and am always looking for new places to ride but if you live close enough try western mass. they have several state parks that allow leagal riding the best of wich is the pittsfield state forest it has 50 mi of trails+- of varying terrain you do have to register your machine there but its only $30 a year.they give you a plate and as long as you have that no one bothers you so i wouldn't be concerned about your age

I think they combined with another website to makenyatvonline.com. But still check it out!! They really ride every weekend, and have great relationships with the local PD, and land owners that they ride on.

That's the feds - too many kids have gotten hurt and killed b/c their parents let them ride machines that are too big for them. Anyone under 16 is supposed to be on a 90cc or smaller machine. NYS knows kids ride bigger machines and they probably don't have the manpower to check that all kids > 16 are on the proper machines. The rule is meant to protect everyone. Does suck for the bigger kids tho.
