That sounds like an awesome ride, Northern Ont. is beautiful land.
Are there many places to fuel up by those trails?

No there is not many places to get gas, thats another reason Sport ATVs are not popular around here, you either better have a ATV like Artic Cats with massive gas tanks or strap some gas cans to the racks. We just head out for rides and have to turn back due to fuel or time, the trails go on forever, all on crownland.

They have a network of trails in different parts of Ontario and they are run by certain organization which requires you to pay to ride the ATV trails just like snowmobiles pay for them in the winter. I beleive they just joined all the groups so you can now buy a pass for $140 for all of Ontario

I'm going to get one of the OFATV memberships very soon...hopefully I can make it to the ATV Expo on April 25th in Caledonia. It's run by the HAAC, check out www.haldimandatvclub.ca for more info.

NO, the fees for snowmobiling is due to grooming cost and the organization acquires right for private property in ONTARIO. In our parts, ALL the land is Crown and ATV trails are not groomed(The worst the better LOL) so they are free.

Even if I was willing to Pay $140 ,I would nt even know who to give it to.

I'm a member of $200/year OFSC also, but they do not control crown land after the season is closed.

Hey Popo,

Scotty here from Kingston. I'm only about 3 hours from you ...might take you up on a ride sometime, but unfortunately not this time. What kind of trails do you have up your way? I ride a 2 whee' machine, so anything real technical is out for me, but i'm pretty determined otherwise, lol...
