Default stoddard valley, any good??

The trouble with getting off at the Stoddard/Bell Mountain exit is that you have to drive in a long ways before you are actually in the Staddard BLM open riding area. Plus, there is a lot of private land in there and the county is cracking down on riding on non-BLM land....you can get a very expensive ticket! The bottom line is that you never will know quite where you are, or if you are on BLM or private property......

It is way simpler to just take the I-15 to Hodge Road exit (a couple exits north of Stoddard/Bell Mountain). Exit to the right, and everything on that side of the freeway is Stoddard open area.

Get a copy of the SB Mountain/Barstow BLM area map: http://www.ctuc.info/

Good idea to go to the BLM office in Barstow and get a set of BLM maps as well. Also available on line, from the BLM web site.
