Hi There,Anyone know how many miles a 2005 Honda 400EX Will get on a full tank.

I see you have no replies, and it is probably because there is no single answer to your question (plus you're not in the Honda forum!). It depends on the terrain, conditions, is it tight trail riding or wide open, how is the motor modded, your riding style, etc., etc.....nobody could ever give you an answer.

All I know is that I run a 5.3 gallon IMS desert tank, so everybody else in the group is out of fuel way before I am........

Hi There,Thanks for the reply.
When i put this question in i did'nt even think about those things,But you are right on that, It's been a long time for me going riding again.
But, it's all slowly coming back to me.
Anyways,Just open trail riding,Cranking it up a few times.
No modifacations other than a K&N Air filter.
I go riding with my young nephews ,So i can't really crank it up too much , Unless we're in an open pit.

Wish I could give you an estimate, but I have had the IMS tank on for 8 years now, and can't even remember what it was like with the stock one.

My friends with 400EX's never run out of gas on any of our long rides. That honour goes to the Banshees....

 

I think what you have posted you should be able to easily go over 50 miles on a tank.

 

We have a guy w/ a stock 400ex that rides in are group, we ride trials with some tight woods & a some fire roads, We ride 60 to 65 miles B4 he would need fuel...
