Default CV boot install

Hello all, I have a few questions ( CV boot, left front, 99 400 Scrambler ): Anybody have trouble tring to clamp the outer clamp? I thought I had the right tool but it does not open enough, also does anyone know the torgue specs. for the spindle nut? and one more, what is the best repair manual?

i ripped my outer cv boot out on the trail, drove back to the camp ground, while i was tearing it apart, sent the wife 40 miles away to get 1, but i used a needle nose pliars to crimp on the new clamps, worked pretty good, i couldnt,break my spindle nut loose, had to take it all off at once, so i know they got to be torqued really well, couldnt tell you on the best manual, but haynes seem to be a pretty good manual

Thanks for the reply, I don't think I have the right clamp. the two tabs are about a 1 1/2" away. When I try to compress them, the clamp just bends under. I going to try to get to a dealer this week some time. Thanks, Al
