ATV Street Legalization - MICHIGAN
#1
I came across this community and thought it would be a good place to join, as i recently purchased a Polaris 330 Magnum ATV. Anyway, i have enjoyed many trails in the past few months, its been fun. My question is this:
Is it anyway possible to get my 330 Magnum Street Legalized in the state of Michigan? I am having a very difficult time looking this up on google, maybe i am searching wrong. I just figured someone here would know Anyway, i would like to know if it is possible, and if it is possible, what would i need to do to make it legal? I am figuring i am going to need to buy some blinkers, and maybe a rear-view mirror? A quick response would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon

Alright, thanks for the quick info, however i have 1 more simple question. I live in a sub-division that is pretty wealthy i guess. Is it legal for me to ride my ATV in my sub-division? For example, If a Cop was riding down my street and saw me going the speed limit and following basic traffic regulations, can he stop me?
I'm guessing the answer is the same as before, but i just want to check.

I'm pretty certain that your city laws and ordinances prohibit anyone from riding an ATV on a public street, subdivision or not. You can give it a try, but I'd put money on it that you'll have that ONE NEIGHBOR that will call the cops even if you roll it out of the garage.

There are many more states where you can make a quad street legal besides Arizona; Montana, one of the Carolinas I believe (if not both) Maybe Wyoming and in another thread a guy has a business getting them licensed in Indiana.
I would like to find a way to legalize mine just so I can ride the Forest Service roads.
