Well just posting a notice here for any riders in Ontario or area that might be looking for new places to ride. Last year my wife and I went on the Mattawa Fall night ride(friday) and then went on the Sat. run/rally also . choice of 75K.M or 125 K.M. loop. Great trails up in this part of Ontario, and we will be going again this year with the dates posted Oct 3rd and 4th.

Never went to the Spring one yet..............They say the turn-out is better for the Spring.............People like the MUD up there.............LOL.......LOL.......You need to try trail "666" I heard is is insane!!!!...........................Caper........ ...............

 

do you need to buy a trail pass for $120??

 

I just had a coulpe questions. How many people attend this rally and how were the trails. Were they difficult, muddy? I'm considering going if I can convince a couple friends.

 

No, Trail pass is in with the Rally Fee..........NO EXTRA FEES!!....GREAT....

How many people attend........Well I know the Spring one gets a larger turn-out from what I heard last year. As for the Fall one my wife and I go on.......Lets say They filled the parking lot of the legion before the Friday Night ride........You can see a night -time picture of last year on the friday night by going to the ATV Ontario web-site then click on the Mattawa link on the side !!.........More people come for the Sat. Rally also................So Friday night's run no everybody was there.

As for the trails ....Very good ......They are in my Top 2 trails in Ontario,.......Between them and the trails over near Madawaska/Barry's Bay/Lake St. Peter area.........I really think Mattawa has the edge for me!!!!

There were some small mud spots and water holes..........But as I remember correctly........they are spots around the side of them........I remember this due to the fact my wife's Sp 450 "HOT" light was on two weeks before the Rally came .....So I didn't want to chance getting the RADs plugged up and ruin our week-end....................So we went around most all of them..........Not this year though.......I bringing a portable Trail Washer (12 volts)....................

As for a little info on the actual week-end:
Friday night we all meet at the Royal Canadian Legion and the check your name off the list(if you REG. early)...........Otherwise you can pay then........Then all the quads head out of the parking lot with a police escort through town(small town)........Then up the trail we go for about 45 min ride...........get to gravel pit ...They have large bon-fire going with canteen set-up ...........

Sat. ride you can come and go as you want.........They have two maped trails......one about 75 KM. other about 125 KM. you can pick from.......(guess which one I took)......Then back to the Legion for Dinner(INCL) between about 4 to 7 Pm .....anytime here you get your food............Also the 20 names are posted on the wall for each winer of $50.00 Gift cards from Home Hardware...........

Note......Two-up riders are $10.00 extra I think and they have Shuttle service running from the Legion to the trail-head........CAN"T DRIVE TWO-UP UNTIL OUT OF TOWN.......About 2 Km. only........

Also Sat. Morning before the Rally......The Legion has a $5.00 Breakfast if You choose........

Hope to see you there!!!!!!........We had fun last year and Waiting for the Rally again this year............................This will become a regular event for us I think!!!!...........Caper...........

They have the places to say on the web-site...............I booked a room for Fri and Sat night at the Welcome Inn On The Lake............We can ride our quads from there without trailering them!!!!................Did you check out the ATV Ontario web-site and Click on the left side of the page...........Mattawa 2007 Fall Rally...............There are Pics of last years Rally plus others ,Incl.
