Fire restrictions have the trails closed but I am hoping they will be lifted by Sep 20th and hope to ride there.

I belong to a small group but lately they seem to have turned into old ladies and old men. NO RIDING!

BTW, I am 49 and my wife is 55, we still ride.

Where are the popular/common ATV trails located up in that area? I'd be heading in from the west (80 to 49), so any maps, tips would be great.
It sure is beautiful country.

Where are you? We are in Grass Valley. We haven't ridden there but the group we belong to has been talking about it. Fire restrictions shut us down and now no one seems to want to ride.
The Forest Service roads are open but the trails are closed. I am hoping that by next month, they will be open. We had a little rain today.

It's out of Sierra City, east of Downieville.
The fire look out seems to be the place to go.

I am hoping that the group will wake up and want to go. One of the members lives in Sierra City and knows the area.
