Lots of places to ride here in Texas, the first question is where do you live and have you visited the Texas ATV forum site?
We have no less than 6 different areas to ride within an hour of my house and as close as next door.

Close to you is Meunster and across the border near Ardmore is Lake Murray. A couple of places in east Texas and they just opened up a new 3600 acre place just a little northwest of Austin.

Guess next time I visit my sister in Austin, I'll have to drive the MH and bring my quads

I have compiled a pretty extensive list of places to ride in Texas, from the Red River, all the way to almost Mexico.......including beaches, sand, trails/trees, tracks and even mud pits and hill climbing. They're all over the place. All of them require some driving for me since I live just north of Dallas.
I am excited about the size of the space opening up outside of Austin. Prolly gonna go try that one out this spring. 'Til then I ride a small area (simpy no one around) in a warehouse district in Garland. (this one's less than 10 minutes away from the houseand has flat opens and a gulley and some pretty good berms<sp> loose ground and hard ground as well as a stream with some wet stuff if I feel like getting muddy. Anyone interested in locaztion PM me and I'll get specific with address/location. I'll even meet & ride. I have to say I ride pretty sport for an old codger, but I'm reserved compared to competitors.
As of 1-29-08 I have a hard time getting enough tires to hold air(rears really), but am looking for a cure. One that won't break the bank 'til Mid-March.
Also, if you want, PM me for a lengthy list and a couple of links to Texas Riding Spots. There's a bunch.

One of the guys I work with told me he goes and it is pretty cheap...so I looked at their website and found a little blurb that says "Be Sure To Check Out Our New Policies & Admission Fees Effective January 1, 2008."
This indicates soomething I suppose, but the link wouldn't go anywhere but to a fault page........

Here's the link to Red Rvier Motorcycles.
I know they used to not allow night riding there. Don't know if that's changed or not.
